Administrative Services• Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent from a recognized University.• Candidates who have appeared in the qualifying examination and whose result has not been declared may also apply, subject to the conditions mentioned in the notification.• Candidates intending to appear in the qualifying examination may apply, provided the qualifying examination is completed before commencement of the examination.• Candidates who have passed the final professional M.B.B.S. or equivalent Medical Examination but have not completed internship may be provisionally admitted, subject to the prescribed conditions.

A. Screening / Preliminary ExaminationThe Preliminary Examination consists of 2 Objective Type Papers: General Studies – 200 Marks and Aptitude Test – 200 Marks. Aptitude Test is qualifying with 33% minimum marks.
B. Shortlisting for Main ExaminationAbout 20 times the total approximate number of vacancies will be admitted to the Main Examination, subject to qualifying the Preliminary Examination and fulfilling eligibility conditions.
C. Main ExaminationMain Examination consists of 8 Papers: English – 100, Hindi – 100, Essay – 100, General Studies-I – 200, General Studies-II – 200, General Studies-III – 200, Optional Paper-I – 100 & Optional Paper-II – 100.
D. Qualification in Main ExaminationMinimum 40% marks in each compulsory English & Hindi paper and 45% aggregate, excluding English & Hindi, are required to qualify the written examination.
E. Personality TestCandidates declared qualified in the Main Examination on merit will be called for Personality Test. Candidates called for Personality Test will not exceed 3 times the notified vacancies, subject to the tie condition.
F. Final MeritMain Examination + Personality Test marks determine the final merit. Preliminary Examination marks are not counted for final ranking. English & Hindi marks are also not counted for overall ranking.
G. Service / Post AllocationServices/posts will be allotted according to the candidate’s rank in the examination and preference expressed for various services/posts.
