| Primary Level Class 1-5 | Educational & Professional Qualification Candidate must have any one of the following qualifications: (i) Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed), for those who started training on or after 09.12.2007. OR (ii) Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 45% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, in accordance with the NCTE Regulations, 2002 (for those who started training before 09.12.2007). OR (iii) Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.). OR (iv) Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR (v) Graduation and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. |
| Junior Level Class 6-8 | (i) Graduation (or equivalent) and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). Or (ii) Graduation or Post-Graduation with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), applicable for candidates enrolled after 29.07.2011. Or (iii) Graduation with at least 45% marks and a 2-year B.Ed or equivalent teacher training course as per NCTE regulations (enrolled before 29.07.2011). Or (iv) Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). Or (v) Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 4-year integrated BA/B.Sc.Ed or BA.Ed/B.Sc.Ed program. Or (vi) Graduation with at least 50% marks and B.Ed (Special Education). Or (vii) Post-Graduation with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) and a 3-year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed program. Note: For teaching Mathematics, Science, Social Science, or Language in upper primary schools, subject-specific graduation is required. |
