However, the estimates Committee of Parliament in its 47th Report (1967-68) recommended setting up of a Service Selection Commission for taking over from the UPSC, examinations for recruitment to lower category of Class III posts. The Administrative Reforms Commission also in their Report on Personnel Administration made similar recommendations. |
